Congratulations on your accomplishments and thank you for participating in Run the Curve!
You’ve made a big difference in the lives of many people. We are proud to present you with a truly unique and special set of interlocking medals. To further commemorate the efforts of all our participants, we’d like to get a picture of you with your medals to add to a special virtual tapestry we are putting together with the faces and stories of all the people that have proven the power of community.
If you can’t pick up your medals in person, we ask that you please take a picture of yourself wearing your medals when they arrive in the mail and send it to us or post on our Facebook page so that we can add to our album.
If you are able to make it to the in-person pick-up at Ben’s – we’d love to get a picture! If you have a few minutes, why not also grab a celebratory beverage and help out a local business that has always welcomed runners for post-run hydration.
Thank YOU for joining us to “Run the Curve” and help others that have been heavily impacted by this pandemic.
Please continue to spread the word, show off those medals and encourage others to join, alone we make ripples, but together we can make waves!
Best always – The RTC Team
What is Run the Curve?
A virtual race series that’s about staying connected even as Covid-19 forces us 6-feet apart.
It’s about people reaching out to help those that need it most. It’s about remembering that we are stronger as a community; and that together we can inspire others to keep moving and stay hopeful.
This is not “just another virtual race”
What makes us different?
- All net proceeds will be donated to The Gathering Place, a local charity that has been hit hard by the pandemic.
- It’s a race series.Walk/run in three separate events over a 3-month period in a chosen distance range:
- Option A: 5km, 10km, and 16km; OR
- Option B: 10km, 16km and 21.1km
Not up to running all three distances?
You can register as a team of 2-3 for either Option A or Option B and assign each teammate to the specific distance(s) to complete all three events! Charity: The Gathering Place is a Community Health Centre committed to building community, promoting equality and providing food, clothing, medical and dental help, and counselling services to vulnerable individuals in our community. The programs and services of The Gathering Place are offered primarily to people who are homeless or live in less than desirable housing conditions, people who are often unemployed, and to people who do not have adequate social support at this time in their lives.
All About That Bling
Register for Run the Curve, do something good for our community and earn some really sweet bling!
Full Event registrants will receive three awesome interlocking medals that click together to form a mural. The medals feature distinct vistas from around the province. A rainbow spans across the skies representing the hope and optimism we have seen exhibited by so many during this time of uncertainty. When the three medals are joined, they form a waving flag with the colors of the Republic of Newfoundland.
